Went through Union Station again this weekend, from a successful one-day conference in Toronto. While I was walking through, we were told that the train would be delayed because the driver never showed up… so I used the extra time to take some photographs of the interior which has a lot of character. This is one of the photographs, which I liked for its near-abstract composition, textures and the industrial feel. The cracking concrete and the steel reinforcement bars bolted everywhere certainly creates an atmosphere of ancient urban decay being held back. I can almost see all the accumulated tracings left by the countless people passing through through this historical station over the decades.
