Here in Kingston, snow has finally arrived, the soft big flake variety. It now feels like winter is truly here, and I have dusted off the snow shovel for its seasonal duty. The nice thing about snow is that it so completely changes the lighting and the landscape that brand new perspectives will come up during the daily walk around the neighbourhood. Few days ago, during a snowfall, the overcast sky had an unusual pinkish tint, probably due to fine ice crystals higher up in the atmosphere. I liked this photograph for how it captured the chilly day and the stillness of the snow-covered tree branches.
