Project 52 – No 36. Boards not bored.

10 10 2010

Cosmoboy and I are enjoying a beautiful Thanksgiving weekend in Kingston. The light is strong, but is getting fairly low over the horizon, leading to interesting shadow effects.  Yesterday, we were walking back home from the cafe when I saw a young tree in front of a fence. I particularly liked the contrast between the bark of the living tree and the finished pine wood planks of the fence, and how the shadows from the leaf canopy danced against both.  Since the image was about contrasts and shadows, I made this into a b&w image using the C2G feature in GIMP — the second b&w image for this project!
