Project 52 No 40 – Raindrops on leaves

15 09 2010

On Sunday, there was a storm in Kingston, which blew down quite a few leaves a few weeks early.  When I walked around in the rain,  I noticed that the rain would spread across the top of the maple leaves leaving the red surfaces slickly wet. However, on the waxy underside of the leaves, the water collected as droplets across the surface. This contrast in colours and textures made for interesting mosaic-style photographs including this one.
