Project 52 No 41 – Travelling

9 09 2010

While Fall officially starts on September 22nd 2010 at 11:09 pm EDT in the Northern Hemisphere (mark your calendars!), for me, it is always the first Tuesday after the Labour Day weekend.  This year, it also marks a renewed spate of travel.  Yesterday, I took the train from Kingston to Windsor, and experimented with transportation photographs enroute.  This is one of my favourites, taken at the Union Station in Toronto. This photograph gives me some ideas to try out the next time I go through Union. The parallel yellow lines and tracks, the little green weeds pushing through and the mix of textures in this strongly linear photograph lend themselves to several approaches, both on-site camera work and post-production treatment of the image. It’ll be fun to consider those possibilities!
