Project 52: #49 “False bokeh”

Ecogirl is behind the Great Firewall right now, but sent along this picture for this weeks Project 52 entry. Bokeh is the term for the out-of-focus blur you often see in images and films. Used creatively it can be amazingly beautiful. In the image below the blur isn’t actually due to bokeh though, here’s an excerpt from the accompanying email:

“this AM it was so humid that my camera kept on fogging up when I tried to take a pic outside my hotel in Shanghai. I thought you enjoy like this one!”

So the blurring is all down to condensation! Shanghai is amazingly humid.
