Project 52 #50: “Lunch break”

5 07 2010

Ottawa is where all the main embassies are in Canada. So I made a trip to our national capital to pick up my visa for my trip to China. When walking downtown at lunch time, dodging the roar of passing cars and the clip-clap of office workers striding past me, I happened to see a construction worker high up in an unfinished building enjoying his lunch break.

What appealed to me in this photograph were various contrasting aspects, especially the round shape of the construction worker opposed to the hard linear geometry of the buildings and the yellows and red colours standing out against the grey concrete.
